Letter from the President: April 2024

The days getting longer; sunny days, new hopes, and a new you are awaiting. Are you, ladies, ready to welcome April?
Our April calendar is full of many interesting events covering art, culture and lifestyle, beauty and health. Please check the program and register as soon as you can.
This month we anticipate our monthly aperitivo to Friday April 19th because on April 25th, Anniversary of Italy’s liberation, many people take advantage of the holiday and plan some mini vacations. The April aperitivo, open to partners and non-members, will be held on April 19th at 6.30 pm – Spazio Anagramma, Largo Alfredo Campanini 1, 22012 Cernobbio. I particularly like and share the philosophy of this Bar&Bistrot, to employ people who are “diversamente abili”. The cost is 15 euro per person, including a glass of prosecco or an alcohol free drink, and some tasty snacks, too. Don’t miss it. Before starting our summer holiday, on June 8th we will have our traditional Summer Evening Party to have a final hug before the summer break, exchanging fond wishes for the best summer holidays ahead of us. We selected a typical Italian countryside style restaurant with a large garden just a few kilometers from Como – Il Fienile, via Fornaciai 16, 20836 Briosco (close to Inverigo). We will have a tasty buffet dinner, DJ set, and the main ingredient will be fun. The theme of the party will be 60’s-70’s, one of my favorite Italian styles: La Dolce Vita.
The party is sponsored partially by the club; the contribution per person is 40 euro for members and partners, 75 euro for friends who are not part of the Club. I strongly invite you to pay for the contribution in cash to Elisa Aspesi at the coffee morning on April 3rd.
